Spotlight on "Ten Words" by Joe Satriani
From Joe’s 2006 album, Super Colossal, "Ten Words" is a soaring instrumental that, unlike its name suggests, features absolutely no words. Why? Because Satriani didn’t want to let any lyrics disrupt a listener’s enjoyment of the song.
Instead, he wanted his guitar to do all the talking. According to Joe, the ten words are up to the listener to create to match their experience of the song.
So, as you jam along to the track using the A minor pentatonic, why not see which ten words come to you!
